"My husband took this picture of me at Williamsburg. I made several trips there while researching antique weaponry for Storms of Destiny. I learned how to clean, load, and fire a cannon, and (theoretically at least) how to load and shoot a musket. I love hands-on research, and I'm very grateful to the staff at Colonial Williamsburg and Yorktown Battlefield for their willingness to share information and demonstrate the antique weapons."
